Understanding the Electro Fusion Technology

Electrofusion is a highly reliable method of joining HDPE pipes. The electrofusion coupler contains built-in electrical heating coils. When connected to an electrofusion welding machine, an electric current is passed through the coils, melting the outer surface of the pipe and the inner surface of the coupler. Upon cooling, the materials solidify into a single, continuous plastic structure. This joint is structurally equal to or stronger than the pipe itself, making it highly resistant to tensile loads, bending stress, and internal pressure surges.

Why Electro Fusion Over Traditional Joining Methods?
