The underground gas polyethylene(PE) ball valve is a key control component specifically designed for underground polyethylene (PE) pipeline systems in urban gas and water supply. This valve features an all-plastic (PE) structure, with the main material being polyethylene (PE100 or PE80), and a standard dimension ratio (SDR) of 11. It boasts excellent corrosion resistance, anti-aging, and sealing performance. The core design feature is the integration of the main valve and dual vent valves, enabling safe and convenient opening and closing of the pipeline system, as well as medium venting and replacement operations. The valve is directly buried underground and can be operated from the surface with a protective sleeve and a dedicated key, greatly simplifying the maintenance process. It is an ideal actuator for ensuring the safe and convenient operation of underground PE pipeline networks.
Performance Characteristics
Superior Sealing: Utilizes a self-tightening floating seal structure to ensure zero leakage both inside and outside the valve, providing safety and reliability.
Long-lasting Durability: The all-plastic structure requires no anti-corrosion, waterproofing, or anti-aging treatment, and has a service life of up to 50 years under design conditions.
Easy Operation: Lightweight with a small opening and closing torque, and equipped with a dedicated wrench for convenient ground operation.
Simple Installation and Maintenance: Can be connected to PE pipes using standard electrofusion or butt fusion methods, with high construction efficiency. Regular maintenance only requires opening and closing operations every three months.
Dual Venting Function: Integrated with dual vent ports, facilitating the safe release of residual gas in the downstream pipeline section after closing the main valve, which is a crucial safety feature for maintenance, renovation, or emergency handling.
Operating Conditions
Applicable Media: Purified natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, artificial gas, and also suitable for urban water supply systems.
Nominal Pressure: PN ≤ 0.5 MPa (consistent with the pressure of the connected PE pipeline system), with a maximum working pressure 1.5 times the sealing test pressure (up to 1.2 MPa) based on international standards, and a low-pressure 28 KPa low-pressure sealing test in accordance with ASME standards to verify the valve's sealing and strength performance.
Operating Temperature: -20°C to +40°C (the allowable working pressure at different temperatures must comply with the corresponding PE pipe material standards).
Nominal Diameter (dn): Available in multiple specifications, including 32, 40, 50, 63, 75, 90, 110, 125, 160, 180, 200, 250, 315, 355, and 400.

Handling and Inspection
When handling valves, they should be lifted and placed gently. It is strictly prohibited to collide or strike any part of the valve body to prevent damage. Before installation, the sealing performance of the valve should be inspected. The test medium should be air or nitrogen, and the inspection content should include left sealing, right sealing, and full closure sealing performance, which must comply with the GB/T13927-1992 standard.
Installation Position
Valves should be installed on a well-compacted foundation, and during installation, the valve must be in a fully open state.
Pipeline Cleaning
Before connecting the valve, the pipeline must be strictly blown and cleaned to prevent soil, sand, and other debris from entering the valve channel, which may cause internal damage.
Connection Method
The connection between the valve and the polyethylene (PE) pipeline should be made by butt fusion or electrofusion connection, and strictly follow the "Technical Rules for Welding of Polyethylene Gas Pipelines" (TSG D2002-2006).
Installation of Protective Sleeve
The valve is equipped with a protective sleeve (including a protective sleeve cover) and an operating wrench. The appropriate length of the protective sleeve should be selected based on the burial depth. When installing the protective sleeve, ensure that the arrow direction on the protective sleeve cover is completely consistent with the opening direction of the PE pipeline and the lower saddle opening of the protective sleeve, then align the protective sleeve vertically with the valve operating cap and fix it firmly.
Operation of Vent Valve
If a double vent or single vent type valve is used, the operation steps are as follows: First, fully close the main valve, then open the vent valve outlet cover, and then open the vent valve for venting; after venting is completed, close the vent valve and cover the outlet cover. Note: The vent valve outlet is only used for gas replacement, sampling, or connecting to a flare. It is strictly prohibited to use it for system pressure testing, blowing, or gas intake, otherwise it may damage the valve and cause safety accidents.
Backfilling Requirements
The area outside the protective sleeve should be backfilled with original soil or sand without stones, glass blocks, or other hard objects to avoid damage to the protective sleeve and valve.
Operation Specifications
The valve is only allowed to be used in a fully open or fully closed state. It is strictly prohibited to use it for pressure regulation or throttling. When operating, use the matching wrench. Counterclockwise rotation is for opening, and clockwise rotation is for closing.
