HDPE geothermal pipes are the core pipe components in ground source heat pump systems for geothermal energy exchange, belonging to a renewable energy utilization system. They are mainly used for building heating, cooling, and domestic hot water supply. The system is composed of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes and fittings, suitable for three types of heat exchange systems: buried pipes, groundwater, and surface water.
HDPE geothermal pipes are connected by butt-fusion or electro-fusion methods, featuring high resistance to stress cracking, chemical corrosion resistance, and excellent thermal conductivity, ensuring long-term stable operation. Buried HDPE geothermal pipes heat exchange systems are divided into horizontal and vertical forms, exchanging heat with the rock and soil through heat transfer media; groundwater and surface water heat exchange systems achieve heat transfer by extracting groundwater or circulating water bodies. The design life of the pipes is up to 50 years, with a smooth internal structure to reduce water flow resistance, and flexibility for easy installation. No additional maintenance is required. The system takes advantage of the constant shallow ground temperature, in combination with heat pump units, to achieve efficient energy conversion, with an energy efficiency ratio of over 4.0, saving 30-70% energy compared to traditional air conditioners.

1. Energy-saving, efficient
The ground source heat pump system is a new type of air conditioning technology that uses geothermal energy, which is advocated and promoted internationally as a renewable energy source, as the cooling and heating source to provide heating and cooling for buildings and domestic hot water. The temperature below 2-3 meters of the ground remains constant throughout the year (10-15℃), which is much higher than the outdoor temperature in winter, so the ground source heat pump can transfer the low-level heat energy from the earth to the building for heating in winter; in summer, it transfers the heat from the building to the underground to cool the building. 2. Green, environmentally friendly, pollution-free
When the ground source heat pump system is used for winter heating, there is no need for a boiler, and no combustion products are emitted. It can significantly reduce the emission of indoor gases, protecting the environment and complying with the "Global Climate Convention". In summer cooling, it also transfers the heat to the underground, without releasing hot gases into the atmosphere. If widely applied, it can greatly reduce the greenhouse effect and slow down the process of global warming.
3. Renewable energy, never depleted
The ground source heat pump system extracts heat from shallow, naturally-tempered soil or discharges heat into it. The heat energy of the shallow soil comes from solar energy, which is inexhaustible and is a renewable energy source. When using the ground source heat pump system, its soil heat source can be replenished by itself. It can continue to operate without the problem of resource depletion. Moreover, the soil has good heat storage performance. In winter, through the heat pump, the low-level heat energy from the earth is used to cool the building, and at the same time, it stores heat for use in winter, ensuring the balance of the earth's heat.
